Pajarito Clay Works

Hello! I’m Karen Edmondson, the artist behind Pajarito Clay Works. I live and work in the historical neighborhood of Pajarito, in Albuquerque’s rural South Valley. I first trained as a painter, but the qualities of clay ultimately led me to a full time ceramics practice.

For the last decade I’ve been selling my clays designs in both functional and non-functional pieces. I enjoy applying playfully illustrative motifs , or the serenely minimalistic images of clouds and mid-century inspired design.

I continue to explore the potential of ceramic art, and find new ways to express my evolving vision.
